This funky and romantic two-bedroom home is perched at the top of the Gavilan, the highest ocean front point on the El Pescadero coast, commanding jaw dropping 360 degrees views of the Pacific Ocean, San Pedrito surf break and the jagged Sierra de la Laguna Mountains. 80 feet above a private beach cove, this ancient lookout served as the gathering place where the families of El Pescadero’s fisherman scanned the ocean for whales while waiting for their loved ones to return from sea with fresh Wahoo, Dorado and Spiny Lobster – which you can still get right off the boats in nearby Punta Lobos. Today you can still enjoy some of the best whale watching on the Pacific coast from the home’s expansive back deck and infinity edge pool.

Centrally located in El Pescadero, 15 minutes from Todos Santos, and sandwiched between Baja’s famous San Pedrito and Cerritos Beach surf breaks. It is a short walk down the hill to a private sandy cove and a 5-minute drive to world class restaurants, taco stands, and barefoot bars where you can find the best organic produce, authentic French pastries and handmade cheeses, not to mention the best Passionfruit and Jamaica margaritas anywhere in Mexico. A true surf and food lover’s paradise.

While the handmade architecture of the home is more quirk than luxe, the interior is a welcome surprise - a tranquil sanctuary updated with modern amenities, local artisanal textiles, ceramics and art. Comfortably appointed with air conditioning, wifi, linen sheets, an outdoor fire pit and hammocks and table for dining under a shaded palapa with a breathtaking unobstructed view of the pacific. From here you can watch the sun slip magnificently over the horizon as the hypnotizing sound of the surf on the rocks below reminds you of what is meant by the 'spirit of Baja'.
